Fue al ‘The Local’ este sábado, y estuve muy a gusto con mi experiencia! Con el frío que estaba haciendo afuera, decidí ordenar el Ramen con ‘Brussels Sprouts’, y fue una muy buena election, una receta deliciosa! También probé el Reuben Sandwich y me gustó mucho! Pero lo que más me gustó fue el ambiente, se puede hablar y hay muchas opciones de comida, además que la iluminación del lugar hace que la atmósfera del lugar sea acogedora! Definitivamente voy a volver!

Buen ambiente, buena comida, solo le falta un poco más de promoción por qué no se ve muy bien el lugar desde fuera pero en general un 10 de calificación, y un extra gracias a la chava que te atiende al llegar y explica las diferentes opciones que de comida que hay

This review is a long overdue thank you to The Local Eatery and Bar for hosting a wonderful and memorable private event in May.

I am the medical director for Health Care Without Harm and Practice Greenhealth and every year during CleanMed, our annual conference, I arrange an offsite dinner for the physician, dentist and medical student attendees of the conference. However, we have many specific requirements (affordable vegetarian menu with a preference for local food, fixed price menu with option for people to purchase tickets for the dinner ahead of time directly through the restaurant and more). After reaching out to multiple restaurants and venues in Salt Lake City who were unable to accommodate us, I was close to giving up. But, then I was connected to Simon, the manager of The Local Eatery & Bar, who was very willing to work with me and host our annual dinner.

Simon and the chef put together an amazing and creative menu. Our four-course, sit-down, vegetarian dinner included salad, 4 appetizers which were shared at each table, choice of 1 of 5 entrées, and dessert.

We had a wonderful evening of networking and delicious food in a great setting and I highly recommend The Local for other private events. Sincere thank to Simon and the staff for everything you did to make our evening successful and memorable.

Went to The Local before a concert the other week to check it out. Overall I’d say the atmosphere is pleasant, little quiet when we went. Several different options for food, got a burger and some ramen. Both were alright, felt they may have been prepped ahead of time and then more quickly reheated. The bar was very solid though. Good drinks and the bar tender was very friendly. Overall a good spot, parking is a little tricky being where it’s located. But planning on trying again sometime in the future.

Grabbed dinner before the symphony. Friday at five. I was surprised at how empty it was. Several of the eateries looked open but not a soul behind their counters.

That said choices are good. We wound up at Pop’s for burgers. We both got the Smokehouse Burger. This is a top-notch burger. Crispy onions, candied jalapeños carrying a subtle punch, and bacon atop the burger. A word on the bacon - that pig had clearly seen something’s in its life. It had packed it on, flavor-wise and the marbling of its fat spoke volumes. Fries were great too. We sat next to the kitchen so it was cool to see our meal come together.

Overall a nice dinner. The overall vibe was off, if I’m honest, but I’d come back anytime for Pop’s.

This is such a great food hall! We’ve been several times and there’s always new places to try. The food is all made fresh to order and there’s a great variety so there’s something for everyone. In terms of ambience, there’s always ample seating including high tops for small groups and longer tables for large parties. There’s even a bar section that I’m dying to try. Can’t wait to return!

This food hall is great! Very nice and spacious inside. There are a lot of different food places to try. I tried Lamb & Feta. The gyro was great. I had never had a gyro with French fries in it before and I liked it! My baby girl loved the lemon rice!

A cheery cafeteria-style dining hall serving the greatest hits of 5+ different cuisines. Ample, comfy seating in a bright new wave atmosphere.

Adrian who prepared and served us sandwiches from 'The Salt' deli was the most welcoming and thoughtful person to plate food for us in remotely recent memory. His corned beef reuben won't disappoint. The roast turkey won't gobble as fast as you.

All the dining options look great and the people there have the spirit of ones who love what they do.

Don't let the limited parking stop you! A sparkly clean dine means these folks need more lunchtime business. Stop searching. Just eat here and love it.
